November is the month to give thanks to family and friends! Over the past few weeks, Operations Wake Surf has been in multiple states doing several different events for our heroes. First, the World Wake Surf Championship at Pineview Reservoir in Utah was a huge success. Despite the cold temperatures, the OWS team was still able to develop new relationships with heroes and future partnerships. One of which was with Eric and Ben of the All-American Heroes Foundation. This organization hosts snowmobiling events for Veterans in UT, CO, & WY. After the Worlds event, the team traveled back home to Charlotte, completing a 5000-mile round trip[ to host four different events on Lake Norman. Surfers include firefighters, EMT’s, police officers and several military veterans.

Hero Spotlight

Isaac Hipple – USAF

Meet Isaac Hipple. Isaac was one of the Heroes in a four day event this past month. He was introduced to Operation Wake Surf through a mutual friend who works for the All-American Heroes Foundation.

“I got a couple buddies and we headed to Pineview Reservoir. We were so surprised and grateful for what awaited us and the level of appreciation, respect, and fun that Robby showed us” says Isaac.

Isaac has spent most of his military career in the US Air Force as an F-16 pilot. Through multiple deployments, Isaac has had the opportunity to fly and instruct on multiple air frames. Today, he drills out of the Utah Air National Guard as a KC-135 instructor pilot and flies for Delta Airlines as a civilian pilot. When Isaac isn’t up at altitude, he enjoys hunting, hiking, camping, riding 4-wheelers and skiing. He enjoys all of these activities alongside his wife of 20 years, and four daughters.

“I am so very grateful to know there are those out there who love, support, and work to strengthen our Soldiers, Firefighters, Police, and Nurses” says Isaac.

“Hopefully I’ll be able to continue advocating for OWS through social media and my own network to continue to push this foundation and the work it does in honoring those who serve.” – @myredhatadventures
