(October 12, 2026) Merced, CA–For Emanuel Oregel, a team member at Centurion & Supreme Boats, volunteering on service trips with our parent company, Correct Craft, has become a meaningful way to give back while honoring the values he learned growing up.

Since 2018, Oregel has participated in four service trips and a Culture Camp experience, serving communities in Jamaica, California, South Carolina, and most recently Mountain Home, Arkansas. While each project has left a lasting impression, his motivation remains the same: helping people who need it most.

“When I was growing up in Mexico, we didn’t have much,” said Oregel. “My parents taught me to help others whenever I could. Seeing the smiles on people’s faces when the work is finished inspires me to keep doing it more and more.”

Oregel credits his faith, Bible study, and the memory of his mother for giving him strength and encouragement before every trip. Recently engaged, he also says his fiancée has been a strong supporter of his commitment to serving others.

His most recent service trip, this past July, took him to Mountain Home, Arkansas, where volunteers renovated a shelter serving women and children affected by domestic violence.
Knowing who would benefit from the project made the work especially meaningful.

“When we found out we would be helping women and children who had been abused, it motivated me even more, the shelter turned into an amazing place,” said Oregel.

One of the experiences that impacted him most took place in South Carolina, where volunteers partnered with Screaming Eagles, an organization serving children with special needs. The team built picnic tables, swings, a pergola, and other outdoor features while improving the property’s grounds. Having nephews with autism and a godson with special needs made the project deeply personal.

“Seeing the smiles on those kids’ faces was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever experienced,” he said. “It touched my heart.”

Beyond the projects themselves, Oregel says the service trips have changed him personally, helping him become more outgoing and inspiring him to continue supporting others, including donating back to the people in his hometown in Michoacán, Mexico.

He also values the opportunity to work alongside teammates from across the Correct Craft family, learning new skills and building friendships while serving a common purpose.

For anyone considering volunteering on a future service trip or volunteering for a local organization in general, Oregel offers simple advice:

“Do it. It’s not about the money it takes to get there. It’s about the experience. Seeing the smiles on people’s faces after the job is done is worth everything. Just do it from the bottom of your heart.”
