Lake Conroe, Texas – May 30, 2024 – Building evolved wake boats with the world’s best waves, wakes, and rides is our why. Paying homage to the men and women who serve our country and communities is our privilege.
At Centurion, we wake waves of positive change in our families, at our factory, in our community, in our world, but more than that we want to empower our family of owners, ambassadors, athletes and dealers to wake those waves of positive change in their lives.
Proceeding each Centurion World Series of Wake Surfing competition, a Salute to Service event is executed in partnership with the local dealer and one of our partner service charities. Yesterday, May 30, just prior to the Come and Take it Wake Surf Classic in Conroe, TX Centurion dealer, The Ski Dock, honored service men and women with a day on the lake.
The day was strictly for the heroes. Eight heroes from Navy, Army, and Police service branches were in attendance. This amazing group included four inspiring female veterans, two from the Navy and two from the Army. Two 2024 Centurion boats, the Ri265 and Ri245, furnished by Ski Dock, provided an exhilarating day on the water where the heroes surfed, tubed, and had the opportunity to relax and have fun.
Operation Get Out, the non-profit whose mission is to bring individuals into nature and out on the water, provided coffee, snacks, lunch, and drinks to the heroes, ensuring they felt cherished and treated throughout the day. The Ski Dock provided the boats and personnel for this special event.
The Salute to Service Event left an indelible mark on all who attended. Amidst laughter, camaraderie, and gratitude, the heroes were celebrated for their bravery, selflessness, and unwavering commitment to preserving our way of life. These heroes and all like them make our water sports lifestyles possible. We will continue to salute them with our appreciation.

About Operation Get Out: Operation Get Out (OGO) was founded to provide the experiences and resources people need to intentionally utilize nature and water for positive mental and physical wellness. The inspiration for OGO came through the tragic loss of two Austin Area first responders who used the water for their own respite and release. StarFlight nurse Kristin McLain died during a flight rescue, and Senior Deputy, Jessica Hollis, died during a flood response, but their legacy of service lives on through the healing OGO events perpetuate. The OGO Team is dedicated to utilizing exposure to water in an outdoor environment as medicine for first responders, military, women, youth, and surviving partners who are dealing with PTS, loss, trauma, depression and anxiety.
