(August 19, 2026) Canandaigua, NY—Centurion Boats hosted a Salute to Service (S2S) event on Canandaigua Lake ahead of the I ❤️ Surf Classic wake surf competition. Centurion Boats Team Manager, Ken Scribner partnered with host dealer, Candandaigua Boatworks, to tow two heroes behind a 2027 RS245 providing them with a day to unwind, let go and shred some waves.
The two participants were Army veteran, Kyle Pridmore and 2nd Lieutenant, Brandon Reside.
Kyle proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserve from 2015 to 2021, dedicating six years of service to the 490th Quartermaster Company. His time with the unit was incredibly meaningful to him, and he continues to hold the 490th and the people he served alongside very close to his heart.
Brandon completed ROTC at SUNY Brockport, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. He is a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army and currently serves as an Armor Officer stationed at Fort Bliss.
The chilly, overcast day didn’t stop the crew from having a blast. The two heroes had a memorable day and consistently shared what a great time they were having throughout the day.
Team Centurion athlete, Sammy Goncalves, joined in on the day of fun helping coach the heroes who were shredding the Centurion wave.
“Spending a day with the heroes was a great chance to share what I love with the people who are most important to protecting us,” says Team Centurion athlete, Sammy Goncalves. “It reminds me how lucky we are to have days on the water after by seeing them enjoy the wave.”
Hosting Salute to Service events before each Centurion World Series of Wake Surfing competition and honoring those who serve our country and communities is one of our favorite ways to Wake Waves alongside local dealers like Canandaigua Boatworks.
