From a young age, Jenna always knew she wanted to pursue water sports professionally. Growing up around the water, she always loved being on the boat and dreamed of one day turning that passion into something more. She never imagined how much the sport would come to mean to her or how it would shape her life.

Jenna’s journey into wake surfing began after her family when through one of the most challenging seasons of their lives. Her mom was diagnosed with a meningioma brain tumor that caused her to become very sick. There were concerns that she could lose her mobility following surgery. By the grace of God, she came out of surgery “textbook perfect,” as her doctor described it, and was able to walk afterward.

That experience changed their perspective on life. They realized how quickly things can change, and they decided they wanted to live life to the fullest and make the most of every opportunity. In 2022, their family bought a boat, and that’s when she discovered wake surfing.

She fell in love with the sport almost immediately. What started as something fun to do with my family quickly became a passion and eventually a competitive pursuit. The more she rode, the more she wanted to learn, improve and push herself. Wake surfing has given her opportunities she never could have imagined, from competing and traveling to meeting incredible people and becoming part of a community that feels like family.

Her faith is a huge part of her journey. She truly believes God has placed her on this path for a reason, and she tries to carry that belief with her every time she steps onto the water. She also loves helping others and giving back whenever she can. Jenna donates her time to Knot On Call, where she volunteers as a wake surf coach and help with media. Being able to use something she loves to connect with and encourage others is incredibly meaningful to her.

When Jenna’s not on the water, she loves being outdoors and finding new ways to stay active. She enjoys snowboarding, spending time at the ocean, exploring new places, and simply being outside. A lot of her free time is also spent with her two golden retrievers, who are always by her side.

At the heart of everything she does is her family, especially her mom. Her story is a constant reminder that life is a gift. Jenna rides with gratitude for where she started, for the people who have supported her along the way, and for the opportunity to continue pursuing something she truly loves.
