(June 13, 2024) College Station, TX — In a world where every child deserves sheer happiness, Team Centurion athlete Zoey Montgomery’s organization, Surfin With Purpose, continues to empower children with special needs, underprivileged youth, and young adults through the exhilarating connection of wake surfing and water sports.

At Centurion, “we wake waves” of positive change in our families, at our factory, in our community, in our world, but more than that we want to empower our family of owners, ambassadors, athletes and dealers to wake those waves a positive change in their lives, just like Zoey is doing with Surfin with Purpose.

Surfin With Purpose held the first of their two-day surf camp, June 13 and 20, near College Station, Texas. Partnering with the Brazos Valley Down Syndrome Association, the goal of the event was to provide an unforgettable experience for participants from the association, which is home to approximately 100 individuals championing the cause of inclusivity and empowerment.

“We are looking forward to inspiring kids and having a fun time out on the water. We hope that this event can persuade kids to not be scared and enjoy opportunities in the water,” shared Montgomery prior to the event.

The day proved to accomplish just that and more. Zoey and her team created a safe space for the kids of the Brazos Valley Down Syndrome Association to feel comfortable on a boat and in the water.

Brazos Valley Down Syndrome Association welcomes donations to support more events for the children they serve. With each event, the organization and the need for funding grow. This summer, the goal is to raise $1,000. Your donations, regardless of size, will contribute to our shared goal of raising funds to further the mission of the Brazos Valley Down Syndrome Association. Together, let us create waves of joy that ripple beyond the waters, leaving a legacy of compassion and inclusivity in their wake.
