(July 2, 2024) The World Series of Wake Surfing is headed to Japan! LIB Resort Japan, Rotary Pier 88, and Centurion Boats are hosting the 2024 Centurion Wake Surf Japan Open this weekend, July 6-7, on Lake Biwa. Located in the beautiful area of Shiga Prefecture, in west-central Honshu, Japan, near the city of Kyoto, competitors and spectators will gather to watch an exciting weekend of surfing! While you’re at the competition, head over to Rotary Pier 88, a one-stop-shop for your WSWS event needs. The Pier features a premier surf shop, incredible restaurant, and free parking! The venue will feature monitors and viewing seats available creating a comfortable setting to watch your favorite riders compete.
Competitors, including a few of our very own athletes from Team Centurion, will be riding the wave of a 2024 Centurion Fi25 at this WSWS event. The 2024 Centurion Fi25 is designed with high performance wake surfing in mind, exactly the kind of boat to tow riders at a competition. The Fi25 offers a unique style that is designed to accommodate up to 16 people. With 5600 pounds of available ballast evenly distributed throughout the boat, competitors at the Centurion Wake Surf Japan Open are sure to get the perfect wave every time.
