(April 8, 2026) Peoria, AZ—Centurion Boats is giving local Arizona military personnel and first responders a well-deserved day on the water. In partnership with Operation Wake Surf, Centurion Boats successfully kicked off its first Salute to Service event of the 2026 World Series of Wake Surfing season.

Hosting Salute to Service events before each Centurion World Series of Wake Surfing competition and honoring those who serve our country and communities is one of our favorite ways to wake waves of positive change alongside local dealers like Century Marine and nonprofit organizations like Operation Wake Surf (OWS).

Fourteen service men and women from the Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines and the local fire and police departments joined OWS for a day of camaraderie and fun on Lake Pleasant.

“It was amazing to get together with a great group of service men and women and bond over our shared stories while doing something that we love,” shared one of the attendees. “I love to see an organization like OWS that is truly passionate about giving back to those who serve.”

“This was our first day back on the water and there’s no better way to kick-off the 2026 Centurion WSWS season,” Ken Scribner, Centurion Boats Team Manager, explained. “We got to meet fourteen really cool heroes and enjoy beautiful weather on a beautiful Centurion boat. By the end of the day everyone learned to surf and those that had surfed before only became better. It’s an honor to share this experience with these heroes and OWS.”

Since 2012, Operation Wake Surf has provided unforgettable experiences for first responders and military personnel. Its mission is to create unique, healing moments for those who keep our communities and country safe.
