Our system places ballast evenly throughout the hull, from bow to transom, low and hidden beneath the floor. This thoughtful distribution builds better waves and makes every seat on the boat more enjoyable. By placing the weight deep and spread across the boat, Centurion creates a balanced running attitude that eliminates bow rise. The result? Longer, stronger surf waves for the rider—and crystal-clear visibility for the driver. You won’t find Centurion drivers standing up to see over the dash; they stay seated, comfortable, and fully in control. The even weight also reduces strain on the engine, delivering exceptional fuel efficiency and a noticeably smoother ride.
Built-In and Out of the Way. More Than Half of Centurion’s Ballast System is Subfloor—So It Doesn’t Take up Space in Lockers or Under Seats.
You get full use of your storage for gear and clean, comfortable lounge space for your crew. The subfloor runs along the length of the hull and through the walk-through, producing waves that hold shape from the start all the way to the curl. In a Centurion like the Ri265, that means waves that stretch more than 26 feet behind the boat. Fast Fill, No Fuss. Our exclusive RAMFILL² system uses a scoop recessed into the center of the running surface to force water into two subfloor tanks through two 2″ stainless steel ball valves while the boat is underway.. Thanks to the stylish vents mounted in the side of a Centurion’s hull, these tanks fill in 90 seconds. And when you are ready to drain the water pass through two more stainless steel ball valves exiting at the transom even faster than it filled. This system can add thousands of pounds of ballast in 90 seconds with no pumps, bags, or moving plastic parts to wear out. It’s built for speed, built for longevity, and built to keep you on the water, not waiting at the dock.
Even Faster for 2026. To Take Things up Another Level, the New Fast Mover Ballast System by SeaFlo Is Now Featured on All Standard Centurion Ballast as Well as Optional Ballast Areas.
Fill times have decreased by more than 68%—from 8 gallons per minute per pump to 13.5—making Centurion the fastest-filling surf boat lineup on the water. The Ri Series now comes equipped with RAMFILL Boosted: high-output 30-gallon-per-minute SeaFlo pumps added to each RAMFILL tank cutting the Worlds fastest fill in half. This same system allows nearly half of the Ri Series’ overall ballast to fill or drain at no-wake speeds or even sitting still. The Ri Series also offers 30 gallons per minute pumps on the optional rear and transom locker ballast bags.
