(June 2, 2024 ) Lake Conroe, TX – Some amazing performances “came and took it” at the Conroe Classic hosted by Ski Dock. Towed by a 2024 Centurion Ri245 with the new Predator Power Tower (PPT), the Come and Take It Conroe Classic crowned a new class of champions at the Margaritaville Resort on Lake Conroe on Saturday, June 1, 2024. The Centurion Boats, Ski Dock, SewLong and Blusurf Teams joined many competitors and their families to push this event through the finish line. The weather challenges kept coming, but all were met with teamwork, patience and a can-do attitude. We are so appreciative for this community and their willingness to step-up when needed. There was one delay for lighting during the finals. The weather and water were beautiful up to that point and because of that we saw a number of amazing performances in the finals.
Team Centurion Surfer Zoey Montgomery took a less-than-ideal day 1 result and turned it into a Pro Female Skim victory with her grit and determination. Zoey also managed to capture a second place finish in Pro Female Surf! And she did all of this after taking her SATs early Saturday morning. What a champion! Zoey was joined on the Pro Female Skim podium by Evie Shropshire in second and Team Centurion Surfer Nicole Hudson in third.
Jett Lambert earned 1st place in Professional Male Skim with a tongue twisting trick-filled run making it hard on announcer Sean Cummings. Team Centurion Surfer, Luke Hutchenson had one of his personal best runs to land on the second place podium. Luke was followed by Robert McClelland in third.
Team Centurion surfer Keenan Flegel took his rightful spot a top the podium after his finals run in the Pro Male Surf division. Keenan’s run was nearly flawless and included his signature intensity and highly difficult trick list. Keenan was supported by Team Centurion Surfer Sam Goncalves in second and Jett Lambert in third.
Ashley Kidd took first in Pro Female Surf, followed by Zoey Montgomery in second and Tomoko Onishi in third.
Many Team Centurion Surfers took top spots in their divisions like Chad Hudson and Sean Cummings taking first and second in Masters Male Skim, Trevor Miller earning first in Masters Male Surf, Janelle Harrington surfed for first in Masters Female Skim, Katie Meier took first in Masters Female Surf and last but never least Kenzie Hickey slayed Amateur Female Surf with an epic first place run.

About Operation Get Out: Operation Get Out (OGO) was founded to provide the experiences and resources people need to intentionally utilize nature and water for positive mental and physical wellness. The inspiration for OGO came through the tragic loss of two Austin Area first responders who used the water for their own respite and release. StarFlight nurse Kristin McLain died during a flight rescue, and Senior Deputy, Jessica Hollis, died during a flood response, but their legacy of service lives on through the healing OGO events perpetuate. The OGO Team is dedicated to utilizing exposure to water in an outdoor environment as medicine for first responders, military, women, youth, and surviving partners who are dealing with PTS, loss, trauma, depression and anxiety.
