ZAVIDOVO, Russia (September 20, 2019) — Earlier this summer the first stop on the Centurion Personal Best Tour took place in Zavidovo, Russia on July 27th as a part of this year’s annual Wake Weekend Fest.
The 2019 Centurion Ri237 pulled the Centurion Personal Best Challenge that gave riders a three-minute run to attempt a personal best with unlimited falls. Within the run, every rider had the opportunity to take part in the Trick of the Year Challenge to land a 180 to shove and win a cash prize. Advanced riders also could participate in the Pro Dice Contest where riders had to predetermine what trick they had to perform within their Personal Best Challenge run. The winner of each event received a cash prize, as well as 2nd and 3rd. Much of the global wakesurfing community attended as well as many new riders that gained a personal best just for getting out on the water.
Wake Weekend Fest is not a typical competition, but more of a community event that encourages riders to try something new. Activities during the Wake Weekend included: Centurion Wakesurf Personal Best Championship, Boat and Cable Wakeboard Championships, live DJ’s, flea market, volleyball, stand up paddle board races, climbing wall, trampoline zone, yoga, and more.
Paul Singer, President of Centurion and Supreme Boats stated, “It was so great to hear that all the riders from beginners to advanced loved participating in the Centurion Personal Best Challenge. It’s exciting to see how Centurion’s international footprint has expanded as more people get out on the water. We look forward seeing how this event grows in the future.”
The next stop on the tour begins today in Cote d’Azur, France.
