From only 5 years old, Ava’s talent showed through her connection to watersports, spending countless hours circling the lake skiing. At age 11, she found her passion for wake surfing. Her competitive spirit emerged as she entered her first competition in 2019 at age 12. Her breakthrough career came in 2022 when she went undefeated all year, then achieving her first world title in semi-pro female skim. In 2024, Ava secured 3rd place in pro women skim at Worlds. Before she competes she likes to pray, stretch, listen to music, and then go on a walk with her brother to get in the right mindset. Her interests extend beyond the water. In addition to designing her own pro model surfboard, two of her swimsuit lines have debuted the runway in Miami! These achievements have led Ava to pursue a degree in marketing and graphic design at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix. When she is not on the water or designing, you can find her either traveling and ocean surfing, snowboarding, hiking or painting.
