The Water Proof Tour floats on down to the Brazos River.
WACO, TX. (July 16, 2019) – In just a few weeks the Water Proof Tour, presented by Roswell Marine, is taking the world’s best waves, wakes, and ride to the Lone Star State. You can catch some of the best wake surf riders in the world compete August 2nd and 3rd on the shores of the Brazos River at Brazos Park East in this inaugural gold level event hosted by Ski Dock. Not only is this the first year for this event, but it’s the first time in recent memory that Centurion has hosted a wake surf event in Texas, but with the anticipated success of this event there are sure to be more Texas surf competitions to come
The competition will feature top tier talent including Centurion team riders Ashley Kidd, Connor Burns, Jarrett Scribner, Jake Breedlove, Zane Montgomery, and Zoey Montgomery. Riders will be towed by the 2020 Centurion Ri237 the only tow boat model to pull the Wake Surfing and Wakeboarding World Championships. Created by the Opti-V Hull, 5100 pounds of ballast, 6 specifically placed ballast locations and 90-second filling RAMFILL ballast the Ri237 ensures surfers get the world championship level stage they need to achieve their personal bests.
Several Centurion team riders competing in the event are having impressive seasons in their various divisions. Ashely Kidd and Connor Burns rank as the top riders in the world in Woman’s Pro Surf and Men’s Pro Surf respectively, furthermore, Jarrett Scribner ranks second in Men’s Pro Skim, Jake Breedlove ranks fourth in Men’s Pro Surf, and Zane Montgomery ranks seventh in Men’s Pro Surf.
