(June 20, 2025) Alexandria, MN- Day 1 of the SurfMN King of the Lakes Classic presented by Faction Marine and Centurion Boats went off with a bang! The cloudy Minnesota morning did not stop wake surfers who traveled in from across the country from competing for a top score on day 1 of the event. Towed by a 2025 Centurion Ri245, the competitors at the SurfMN King of the Lakes Classic posted high scores after throwing their best tricks behind the most sold boat in the Centurion boats lineup.
In the Pro Female Surf division, Cali Nance, newest member of Team Centurion, posted the highest score of the day dominating her division. Over in the Pro Female Skim division, Cali’s teammate and Minnesota native, Ava Stewart, posted the second highest score in her division following Ashley Inloes top score for day 1.
In the jam-packed Pro Male Surf division, Team Centurion riders Sammy Goncalves and Tyler Stewart took the highest score in their heats of the day with Stewart taking the overall highest score in the division. Speaking of highest scores in a division, Tyler Stewart also took the highest score in the Pro Male Skim division. Tyler, a Minnesota native, is competing in 3 divisions this weekend, Pro Male Surf, Pro Male Skim and Open Male Foil – With Straps. Way to make your Centurion and Minnesota families proud, Tyler!
Luke Hutchenson, Team Centurion rider, had a huge day in the Pro Male Skim division following close behind Tyler’s top score. Luke was the only man in his division to attempt and land a 720 big spin. Way to go Luke! If this division wasn’t already impressive enough, Cade Lybeck, Team Centurion athlete threw some great tricks during his day 1 run on his very own home lake. Lybeck has done a lot to help his dad, Owner of Faction Marine, put on this fan favorite competition in Minnesota.
Adaptive division rider, Jordan Koeninger, put on a show and posted an impressive score on day 1 of the competition with a score of 93.3. Way to go, Jordan!
