Ft. Worth, Texas (July 17, 2020) – In these unpredictable days of cancellations and postponements Centurion Boats is proud to announce that the 2020 World Wake Surfing Championship is coming to Texas October 1st to 3rd. The invite only Diamond Level event will be held at Marine Creek Lake in Ft. Worth, Texas and will feature the top riders from across the globe. Despite certain obstacles each athlete in each country at every skill level has a path to earning an invitation to the most prestigious (and this year only) world championship event in the sport through a combination of live and online events.
Centurion Boats and the Competitive Wake Surf Association (CWSA) are both committed to the safety of our athletes, staff, spectators and family members. At the event there will be a series of measures implemented to protect the safety of attendees and participants amid the ongoing pandemic. Additionally, at this time, it is extremely unlikely that athletes will be allowed to travel to Ft. Worth, Texas from outside of the United States. Despite this limitation we are committed to making the World Wake Surfing Championship a true ‘World’ event by leveraging online technology in an innovative hybrid video and live competition format.
