(October 28, 2024) Merced, CA– The season of giving is fast approaching, and Centurion & Supreme Boats recently joined forces with the community to give back and wake waves of positive change in Merced. The City of Merced’s monthly Community Clean-Up Day is an initiative led by Mayor Matt Serratto. With an impressive turnout, 10 Centurion employees and three of their family members gathered at Fahrens Park in Merced, CA to clean up the area along Black Rascal Creek.

The Centurion & Supreme team, equipped with gloves, bags, and a company-provided dumpster, was the first group on-site, eager to kick off the day early. Volunteers from UC Merced, including the Cross-Country team and various fraternities, joined Centurion and the rest of the community in this shared mission to clean up in and around the creek. The collective efforts cleaned up and discarded items, including tires, shopping carts, and even yard furniture.

Taylor Dunn, Customer Service & Warranty representative at Centurion & Supreme boats, and her husband participated in the clean up day noting how nice it was to have, “everyone come together.”

“I volunteered because it is always nice to give back to your community and we like to help. We haven’t participated in a community clean-up day yet! We moved to Merced a couple of years ago and this was a great way to be part of our community and help,” Taylor shared when talking about her experience.

Taylor also shared, “it means a lot to work for a company that gives back. It makes me feel like the company will always have my back.”

Adding to the spirit of the day, Mayor Serratto was hands-on, even utilizing his kayak to reach trash stuck in areas inaccessible from the shore of the creek. All volunteers were treated to lunch afterward, a small token of gratitude for their hard work. Centurion was also a proud sponsor of the event, further reflecting the company’s commitment to the community.

At Centurion & Supreme boats, a wave of positive changes can be set into motion with any thoughtful activity perpetuated through tow boating or community. As a Correct Craft company, we’re called to make lives better and we wake waves is about doing just that, whether it’s teaching a child to surf or participating in a local cleanup day, actions big and small wake waves of change in people’s lives.

If you are a resident of Merced and want to wake waves of positivity of your own, Mayor Matt Serratto invites you to participate in the next Merced Community Clean Up on November 9th at Applegate Park from 10am-12pm. The day will begin at the Applegate Park Zoo on 25th and R streets. Bring your gloves, bags, trailers and friends!
