(May 22, 2025) Alexandria, MN- Come join the fan-favorite event, the Surf MN King of the Lakes Classic, happening June 20–21 in west-central Minnesota on Lake Le Homme Dieu, right in the heart of the Chain of Lakes. Hosted by Faction Marine and Centurion Boats, this exciting competition brings world-class wake surfing to Alexandria’s stunning chain of lakes.
This Gold Level World Series of Wake Surfing (WSWS) event is open to 100 riders, welcoming every skill level from amateur to pro. With a $10,000 pro cash purse, this two-day contest promises thrilling action with athletes riding behind the 2025 Centurion Ri245, the 24.5’ powerhouse that excels in performance and comfort.
Registration officially opened May 20, and can be completed through the Rideline App. Space is limited and demand is high, so competitors are encouraged to register early to secure their spot in this prestigious event.
Operation Wake Surf (OWS) and Centurion’s Salute to Service (S2S) will host and honor servicemen and women, first responders, military veterans, and heroes for providing them with a worry-free day on the water on June 19 on Lake Le Homme Dieu. Before each Centurion World Series of Wake Surfing competition, a Salute to Service event is executed in partnership with the local dealer and one of our partner service charities. Spectators are invited to attend the viewing party at Zorbaz on the Lake, where they can enjoy delicious food, refreshing drinks, and a prime location to watch the best wake surfers in action.
For accommodations, there is a special room block available at the Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott in Alexandria. To book under the “King of the Lakes Surf Comp” rate, please call 320-763-0133. Rooms in this block cannot be reserved online, and the discounted rate is only available until May 23, 2025. Another room block is available at the Holiday Inn Alexandria, located on Hwy 29 S. Guests may call 320-763-6577 and ask to book under the “King of the Lakes Surf Competition” block or use the provided booking link. This room block also expires on May 23, 2025, after which regular rates will apply.
