(June 15, 2024) Johnson City, TN – Riders gave it their all at the Volunteer Wake Surf Classic hosted by CBK Watersports. Towed by a 2024 Centurion Ri230, the Volunteer Wake Surf Classic crowned a new class of champions in Johnson City, TN on the scenic Winged Deer Park on Saturday, June 15, 2024. The Centurion Boats, CBK Watersports, and SewLong Teams joined many competitors and their families for an unforgettable event.
After a competitive day one, team Centurion Surfer, Whitley Stewart, dominated finals by taking first place in both Pro Female Surf and Prol Female Skim. What a champion! Whitley was joined on the Pro Female Skim and Pro Female Surf podiums by Team Centurion Surfer Nicole Hudson who placed second and Evie Shropshire who placed third in both divisions.
The Pro Male Skim division showed up and showed out. Reed Cole-Tucker placed first in the Pro Male Skim division followed closely behind by Team Centurion Surfer, Luke Hutcherson who placed second.
Sammy Goncalves earned his spot a top the podium after competing neck and neck with Tripp Allen in the Pro Male Surf division. After a day of tough competition Johnson City, TN local, Tripp Allen took second place. Team Centurion Ambassador, Tommy Darnell finished the day in third place.
JRob Terry, another Johnson City, TN local, who donated his time on Wednesday to the heroes who participated in the Salute to Service event, placed first in the Semi-Pro Male Surf division.
