(February 27, 2025) Breckenridge, CO-The annual Water Sports Industry Association (WSIA) Summit held in Breckenridge, CO concluded with the WSIA Leadership Awards last night. WSIA develops best practices, maintains waterway access rights, educates participants, promotes safety, and facilitates sustainable industry growth. After two days of committee meetings and keynote presentations advocating for tow water sports, five individuals from across the industry received a WSIA Leadership Award for their contributions. Among this small exclusive group recognized was Gerry Oppliger, Centurion & Supreme Boats Western Sales Manager.
Year after year, the WSIA Leadership Awards recognizes the most impactful leaders in the watersports industry. The award recipients were selected from 16 finalists who have made significant contributions to the water sports industry.
“It’s amazing to be amongst a group of people who have the same direction to grow the sport and keep families on the water.” Gerry shared while talking about his fellow nominees.
Gerry’s contributions to the industry go beyond his work as a representative of the Centurion & Supreme factory. Because of his work and impact on the industry, it was no surprise that Gerry was nominated for this award by most of the dealerships he works with day to day.
“Advocating for my dealers and the growth of the industry is something I’m passionate about. I was honored to be nominated but was more excited to be amongst leaders of our industry who were also being recognized.” Gerry mentioned.
