Ever since I was little I have always loved being in the water. I learned to waterski when I was 5 years old and added kneeboarding and wakeboarding to the list as a got older. My parents purchased a lake house in Lake Placid about ten years ago where we spend most of our weekends boating with friends. About four years ago my dad read an article about wakesurfing and decided to learn how to weight our boat properly and learn how to wakesurf. Ever since then I’ve been hooked!
I can remember clearly the first competition that I participated in back in 2011, the World Wakesurfing Championship in Parker, Arizona. I was excited about showcasing my talents in a competition run and was in awe of all the amazing riders that I had the opportunity to watch. I placed 2nd in the Amateur division and standing on the podium is a feeling that I will never forget.
The 2012 season was a whirlwind for me. I started training every weekend and acquired sponsorships with several great companies. I increased my involvement in the Wakesurf community and helped found the Women’s Wakesurf Association. I am proud to say I earned a podium spot at every competition I competed in! I am moving into the pro division for the 2013 season and I am excited to be able to compete with such great athletes.
Why do you ride Centurion?
I ride for Centurion because their wake is superior to any other boat I’ve ever ridden behind. Buying a Centurion Enzo was the best thing my family could have done because the wake allows me to take my riding to the next level. Team Centurion is comprised of the best athletes in the world and I’m proud to be a part of such an awesome group of riders.
Biggest Win /Accomplishments
Some of my biggest accomplishments include helping found the Women’s Wakesurf Association, making the podium at every contest I have competed in, and being affiliated with such great sponsors.
Centurion Boats, Transition Watersports, Victoria Skimboards, Agenda Surf
Lake June Favorite Riding Spot As long as the weather is warm and I’m riding behind a Centurion, I’m happy! Goals My goal is to make the pro podium at every contest I compete in this year and to continue to encourage the involvement of women in the sport of wake surfing.
I want to thank my friends and family for their constant support and encouragement and my sponsors for believing in my ability! THANK YOU!
