(September 1, 2026) Winter Haven, FL—The 2026 World Wake Surfing Championship (WWSC) is set to take place October 1–3, 2026, in Winter Haven, Florida, on Lake Silver. Presented by GM Marine, this year’s WWSC promises to be the most competitive yet. After competing all spring and summer long, 137 athletes, representing the United States, Canada, Japan and Korea, qualified for the 2026 WWSC where they will compete for the world title.
The three-day competition kicks off Thursday, October 1 at 8:00 AM, with preliminary rounds featuring elite riders from around the world. On Friday, October 2, the action heats up with semifinal rounds as athletes battle for a place in the finals. The event culminates on Saturday, October 3, when a new class of World Champions will take the podium after the days final round of competition. All are invited to attend the podium ceremony taking place Saturday evening as we close down the street to celebrate outside of Jensen’s Corner Bar in Winter Haven, FL.
Making its return this year is the coveted WSWS Champion title, awarded to the rider with the highest combined score across the full World Series of Wake Surfing (WSWS) season including their WWSC performance.
Leading up to the main event, Operation Get Out will host Centurion Salute to Service (S2S) events on September 29 and 30, honoring first responders, active-duty military, and veterans. Heroes will enjoy a day of well-deserved rest, relaxation, and time on the water in a Centurion boat.
