Centurion Boats Appoints New Production Manager

MERCED, CA (September 14th, 2019) — Centurion Boats is pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel Indelicato as its new Production Manager. Previously Centurion’s Product Development and Engineer Manager, Daniel has his bachelor’s degree in mass communication design and started at Centurion four years ago as a Research and Development Technician. Over the past four years Daniel has been one of the most valuable members of the factory team making him an excellent choice for the position of Production Manager.

In his new position, Daniel will oversee the boat production process from start to finish. He’ll supervise all production personal and manage key aspects of the production process with the goal of optimizing cost efficiency. Most importantly Daniel will ensure that boats are up to quality standards in each phase of the production process. In addition, he’ll also be focusing on higher-level initiatives including several cost reduction and improvement projects as well as helping to compile and execute corporate strategy with the leadership team.

Daniel’s communication background is a favorable strength that he brings to the job, with the scale of the boat production process it’s important to effectively work with each part of the team in a way that best maximizes results. Daniel looks to foster an open and connected environment where each part of the team is well informed and well heard. When asked about his vision for the brand Daniel focused on quality noting that ultimately quality is more important than quantity. Quantity will come if the quality is there. When asked about his thoughts on the new position, Daniel stated, “I appreciate the opportunity to work with a great group of individuals on our production floor. Here at Centurion and Supreme our supervisors and line workers take pride in their work and focus on building quality products. I look forward to leading them into a new chapter in our growing success as a company.”

Paul Singer, President of Centurion and Supreme Boats had this to say, “Daniel’s plant wide respect, competence and character made him an obvious choice to fill the CS role of Production Manager. Centurion Boats Honors Vendors with Appreciation Day

MERCED, CA (September 10th, 2019) – Last month Centurion and Supreme Boats paid tribute to their vendors by hosting a Vendor Appreciation Day. Over 53 vendors RSVP'd for the event including representatives from Roswell Marine, PCM, Spradling Vinyl, Gator Step, Wet Sounds, Protomet, and more.

Vendors were honored at the Centurion Boats plant in Merced with a presentation of gratitude in the morning by President Paul Singer, Vice President of Production Shane Stillman, and Purchasing Manager Scott Barenchi. Afterwards, Vice President of Sales and Marketing Amy Mauzy and Stillman led tours of the factory for vendors to get an in depth look at the production process. It's fascinating to consider the big picture as each vendor plays an important part in the boat building process. Later, everyone ate barbequed burgers and hot dogs for lunch.

The afternoon concluded with boat rides and surfing at Lake Yosemite so that vendors could get out on the water and behind the world’s best boat for themselves. In the evening, vendors were hosted for dinner at Vista Ranch, a beautiful upscale farm venue just outside of Merced.

President Paul Singer stated, “Centurion Boats is extremely grateful for all of our vendors which enable the success of our company. Vendor Appreciation Day is something that we love hosting every year to highlight each of our important partnerships.”

World Wake Surf Championship Day Two See’s Big Surf Action

Ogden Valley, Utah (September 6, 2019) – Day Two of the 2019 Centurion Boats World Wake Surf Championship, presented by GM Marine, continued with an exciting round of surf style heats yesterday where athletes earned a chance to compete in today’s finals. The live feed will be broadcasting finals until the end of the event today so tune in and don’t miss any of the ultimate round, as the season, and the championship comes down to this.

As a quick refresher, according to CWSA sanctioned rules, heats at the WWSC work like this; riders are split into two groups where they compete against each other and the top two riders in each group win a slot in finals. In addition, at the end of the day riders in Pro and Outlaw divisions that did not earn a slot in the finals compete in a Last Chance Qualifier round where the top rider earns a wildcard bid to the finals. Centurion Team riders Ashley Kidd, Jake Breedlove, Zoey Montgomery, Connor Burns, Keenan Flegel, and Zane Montgomery all earned bids in their respective divisions. There’s also some very juicy storylines to follow throughout today’s finals.

Burns v Flegel

After trading podium spots between first and second throughout the season, teammates Connor Burns and Keenan Flegel both finished first in their heats and will meet again in the World Wake Surf Championship Pro Men’s Finals. Keep an eye on Burns as he attempts to win his second straight Pro Men’s Surf title while Flegel tries to take the championship back.

Flegel’s Two Divisions

Speaking of Flegel’s first place chances, he’ll have two shots to win big today as he qualified for finals in both surf and skim style divisions. Keep an eye on the former world champion as he tries to unite the crowns of Pro Men’s Surf and Pro Men’s Skim with dual championships.

Kidd v Gale

The number one and number two ranked Pro Women’s Surf riders in the world have long traded the top podium spots in a compelling rivalry, today it comes to a head on the world’s biggest stage. Catch Ashley Kidd and Cassidy Gale as they go big on the world’s best wave with an eye towards a first-place finish at worlds.

Montgomery Siblings Sneak In

After tight heats in the Pro Men’s Surf and Outlaw Women’s Skim divisions’ both Zane and Zoey Montgomery found themselves on the outside looking in as they both just missed qualifying for finals. Zane was in a particularly difficult heat with Centurion teammate’s Connor Burns and Jake Breedlove competing in the same group. However, the Last Chance Qualifier was a different story. The Montgomery siblings threw down and earned their way through with wildcard bids.

Centurion Pro Men’s Surf Team

Centurion Boats team riders dominated the day yesterday, and the Pro Men’s Surf finals will feature a total of four Centurion Boats athletes. Connor Burns, Keenan Flegel, Jake Breedlove, and Zane Montgomery fill out four of the five slots in this division’s final round. Centurion Boats Hosts Annual Company Picnic

A Day of Barbecue and Community for the Centurion Boats Family

YOSEMITE LAKE, CA (AUGUST 30, 2019) – Last weekend Centurion Boats hosted its annual company picnic out on the shores of Yosemite Lake. This annual picnic has been a staple of workplace culture since Correct Craft joined forces with Centurion in 2015. Each year this event serves as a way for the entire Centurion Boats factory team to engage in community and enjoy a day of relaxation after a summer of hard work. Each employee is encouraged to bring their love ones along as the wider Centurion Boats family comes together on one beach.

This year’s picnic was one of the largest to date with over 400 employees and family members in attendance. The day featured spirited games of cornhole, footballs tossed, options for all on the grill, spirited conversations, the annual raffle, and at the end of the afternoon boat rides for all. The boat rides are always the highlight of the day as the production team has a chance to zip across the water in the boats they build as a team. The day was filled with smiles wherever you looked.

Brand coach Brandon Tollie, who typically spends time all over the country helping customers, dealers, and sales reps, attended the picnic for the second year in a row. Brandon, who normally doesn’t spend his day to day around the factory but has been with the company for a significant amount of time, had this to say “It’s really awesome that we can give back to the workers and their families. Up until last year some of them had never been on a boat. I had the chance to drive workers and their kids, seeing their faces light up made it all worth it,”.

President Paul Singer who was all similes throughout the day said, “The company picnic is a chance for everyone at the factory to enjoy each other’s company in a day that’s truly devoted to fun. We’re happy to be able to provide opportunities like this as a part of our mission to make lives better. Without the best factory team in the business it would be impossible for Centurion Boats to succeed.”

All and all it’s safe to say the company picnic was a success, the world’s best waves, wakes, and ride wouldn’t be a reality without all the people that come together to make it happen.
