I grew up snowboarding in the Idaho mountains and always planned on going pro. I got sponsored by local companies and did some competitions but as soon as I started wakesurfing, I found my new passion. Whether you’re behind a boat or in the ocean, there is something about surfing that just gets me stoked. I started surfing behind an old Four Winns (super dangerous, I don’t recommend it) with a big ocean board. From there, I surfed behind friends’ boats for a few years until I knew we needed an Enzo. As soon as I started riding behind a Centurion, my progression took off. My wife and I started riding a few days a week and in 2009 my wife signed us up for the NWWSA competition in Seattle. I competed in amateur and took 1st place. Since then we have traveled to several competitions and plan on hitting as many stops on the WWSC circuit as we can this year. I just love being on the water with fun people, that’s what makes this sport so great.
